Alt-rock singer-songwriter Beth Arnold Gilbert is an artist from the Philadelphia area.

Her debut EP "Gimme Back My Castle" was released December 2021. This was Gilbert’s first time working as a solo artist.

Ron DiSilvestro provided percussion, produced, mixed and mastered her EP with the exception of “Merry Go Round,” mastered by Simon Gibson @ Abbey Road Studios in London.

Ron introduced her to veteran musician, John K. Faye (formerly of the Caulfields ) to provide additional production, vocal guidance, some BVs and songwriting advice. Rounding out the team were musician and producer Brendan McGeehan (The Right Fiction) on bass and Will Brown (XIXIX music) on lead guitar.

The EP features three singles including the raspy, compelling power song “I Know It’s A Sickness,” the melodic, catchy “Merry Go Round” and the gritty anthem, “I Think I Need Help." The music video for it was released soon after the single, which Gilbert made herself. It features smashing clocks, various objects burning, snakes and more. “It is grungy & gritty, I love it,” she says.

Her song lyrics have a relevance that can be felt by all who listen. “I really obsess over my lyrics. They need to be just right, or else, I cannot let go.” says Gilbert.

Gilbert’s discography includes her former band's (Karmalatta) self produced full length Album “From Me To You” & two EPs “Sheep Eater” & “Don’t Wanna Talk About It.” She wrote and co-wrote hundreds of other songs. She contributed an original song to The Philadelphia Jazz Projects ``Remedy" sessions as well as lending her vocals to the Ray Charles version of "I Don't Need A Doctor" for that project. She has featured songs on both ''A Philly Christmas for Kids Volume I & II,” compilations (all proceeds donated to CHOP children's charity.) Gilbert has  performed at the Ladybug festival in Wilmington, DE 2018 with her band & 2019. Her band Karmalatta was a 2018 Homey Award nominee for best rock song in and she co-wrote the original Christmas song “Invisible Present.” Additionally Gilbert has performed all around greater Philadelphia including  ticketed shows @ 118 N in Wayne, PA, Silk City, Phila., The Rec Room, Conshohocken, Sweeneys, Phila., The Nail in Ardmore, The Co Lab Glenside, Arts & Music for Cause, Jenkintown,  and The Royal Glenside. Her band has additionally played the Bucksmont Bonzaroo, Perkasie Porchfest, Wiss Fest @ Wissahickon Brewing and Ambler music fest as the day 2 opener (original set.)

For the last several months, they've been recording the music video for their latest release "Freeze Me!" The video is already making a splash on TikTok, posted by videographer @mickadelphia.
